GO CUBS GO! GO CUBS GO! HEY CHICAGO WHAT DO YOU SAY? CUBS ARE GONNA WIN TODAY!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I am so pumped. Cubs are Central Division Champs. Now I just have to wait for things to unfold with the other divisions and the wild card to see who they will play. And hopefully I'll be going to game four. I've got my tickets in hand. I just have to wait to see how the series plays out since round one is just a 5 game set.

I was watching the celebration last night after the brewers lost and I was almost in tears I was so excited. I live and die with my cubs and man I could not be more excited! I can't wait to for the playoffs to start on Wednesday. The city was electric. We're definitely hitting up the bars to watch games during the week this week. I can't wait! Last time they were in the playoffs was 2003 and I didn't get the whole experience because I was only 19 but I am READY for this time.

BIGGEST pet peeve in life...people calling me by the wrong name. Every phone conversation I have with clients I say "This is Melissa how can I help you". AT LEAST once a day I get "Hi Michelle". This week I've gotten Melanie, Melinda, Michelle, Marlene, and Ann (not sure about Ann). I just think it's rude to not listen to what I'm saying. Even worse when I send an email with my signature and I still get called Michelle. JUST GRRRRR!

The boy from last weekend has been cut out. He said he was coming out with us last night and then bailed and didn't call so I don't need that in my life.

Plus, apparently I'm only allowed to date Adam's friends. He invited a whole bunch of his friends and I hit it off with one of his buddies. I'm also only apparently attracted to guys that have things for cars. He's a mechanic and owns at least two cars, maybe three. Hey, at least someone Zach will approve of since he is my secondary guy line of defense to judge the men I date. Oh and by the way, this boy is Justin Timberlake's long lost twin, which funny enough turned me OFF at first but then when we started talking he was fun and nerdy like me. So we're going out during the week this week, either Wednesday or Thursday.

Of course going out last night made my voice so much better. I'm very many sounding again.

    Other randomness...
-I hate daylight savings time. I need my precious sleep..
-Adam was all over me last night because he was TANKED. Not sure what to think about that. He's the close guy friend.
-Today's my sister's bday. One more year until 21!
-Watched 'The Prestige'. Good movie. You really have to pay attention though.

    Speaking of voting...

The new touch screens are fun. It reminds me of the bar games with touch screens. Voting today also made me think of Freddy's niece who is the cutest thing ever. She's about 2 and a half and every time she sees Judy Baar Topinka, in her cute little voice she says "Judy Baar Topinka is constipated". SO CUTE!

    That makes my day.

Illinois lawmakers consider statewide smoking ban

October 24, 2006 - Smokers in Illinois could one day find even fewer places to light up in the state.

State lawmakers are listening to testimony from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as smokers rights groups and businesses about whether there should be a statewide smoking ban.

The bill would ban smoking in restaurants, bars and workplaces.

    ----

Honestly, you all know that I'm not a smoker but this is ridiculous. Aren't there more important problems in the world? Stay out of people's business.

I'm going to see Christina Aguilera again! :) It will be my first concert since JC in May of 2004 so it's been a LOOOOOONG time. The concert isn't until April of 2007 and I'm going by myself but I'm pumped.

21st row almost dead center with an aisle 2 seats away. I'm happy. Plus I'm pretty sure froguy is one of her dancers again so I'm PUMPED!

OH! And I thought Grey's Anatomy was FANTSTIC last night. Once again, I cried at the end. Alex is so sweet to Izzy even though he's kind of an ass to everyone else.

    And supergirl? So cute.

Best line: I like dating. It comes with snacks.

I quit the cubs. They traded away Greg Maddux AND the love of my life, Todd Walker. :( I have very little reason to watch them anymore. I'm kind of hanging in the balance.

It bothers me A LOT when I sneeze and people don't say bless you. It's just common courtesy like saying thank you after someone gives you something. People in my office are awful at it. I am the only one that blesses people after they sneeze. GRRRR.

Did you know that there are some watermelons that weigh up to 90 pounds?
Did you also know that the record for spitting watermelon seeds is over 68 feet?

I'm doing a research project on watermelon...history, health effects, etc.

And not related, but did you know that if you are being attacked by a swarm of bees, and you run, they will give up after about 300 yards? Unfortunately, they fly at 20 MPH.

    Yay for stupid knowledge.

OH! I forgot. For secretary's day my boss got me the most gorgeous pink roses...a DOZEN of them. I took a picture of them with the office digital camera because they were that pretty. I'll upload tomorrow. I like those better than red roses.

We are going really old school here. SIX years ago today I was waking up early to go get the NSA album. I kind of wish the boys were back and at the same time I'm kind of glad they are gone.

I still want one more tour.
